In May of 2023, Claire Masikewich received the news that her five-year-old daughter, Sloane, was diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. Watching her strength inspired the slogan “Strong Like Sloane.”
After learning that only 7% of all cancer research fundraising dollars are directed at pediatric cancer, Claire wanted to raise awareness in Alberta. Through this, Strong Like Sloane has continued to raise funds for various pediatric cancer research and support.
This year through "Strong Like Sloane", we are fundraising for "Helping Families Handle Cancer" works alongside pediatric oncology social workers to ensure the most in-need families receive financial support.
Many families face reduced work hours or loss of employment just to be at their child’s bedside. Our donors help with their bills: day to day, month to month, right in the middle of their struggle.
Our donations will go to local families, and the money goes to work immediately – most families receive assistance within 24-48 hours.

When should I plan to arrive?
Your General Admission ticket grants you access to the event at the BMO Centre starting on the evening of February 13, 2025.
However, we recommend you plan to be in Calgary for the events leading up to Dream Summit, starting February 11, 2025.
What do I need to bring?
Water bottle, pen, pencil, and an outcome for what you want to get out of this event. This is meant to help you push your business forward, but you have to have a set intention on what you'd like to get out of it!
Will there be food provided?
No food provided, but there will be a concession stand on site as well as there are many food options around the venue!
What should I know about the Gala Night?
Come dressed in your best! This is a night to celebrate some of the top in our agency and see who you want to compete with next year. If you're anticipating walking across the stage, bring comfy shoes and your best smile!
Will there be opportunities to talk to product providers?
Yes! We have an entire Product Provider Training Day set up on February 12 at the Calgary Office that will be dedicated to give everyone the opportunity to make connections with the companies that will help you help your clients.
In addition, Product Providers will have booths available throughout the General Sessions at the BMO Centre.
Make sure to take time to mingle and learn!
